Know Shalu

As Director, 360 Digital Influence at Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide, my mandate is to help companies across Asia make sense of and use Social Media to run their businesses better!

During my entrepreneurial stint in 2008-2009, (just before joining Ogilvy), I founded Life Ahoy pte. ltd., a training company and co-founded Tickled Media pte ltd,  an online media company.

Life Ahoy created and conducted workshops and training programs in the area of social media marketing, creativity and marketing for corporate clients, NUS Extension, Aventis and others. We also provided consulting in the area of Marketing and New Media for SME’s.

Tickled Media was in the business of building, nurturing and monetizing online communities in the personal development, parenting and leisure space.

In my spare time, I also managed to squeeze out time to teach marketing at selected B-Schools in Singapore.

Prior to my entrepreneurial adventures, I worked with Polaroid corporation as Country Manager, Asean and India, Regional Manager for NIIT Technologies in Singapore and Regional Head and Product Manager for NIIT in India

I finished my MBA from Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad in 1999.

I discovered the power of Social Media when i was able to use it to grow my fledgling training business and also when a Social Media campaign helped my sister win the Indian version of ‘I am a celebrity, get me out of here’.

I was hooked.
